William Kursell

William (Bill) Kursel, 83
William (Bill) Kursel passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Bill was born April 24, 1938, in Bessemer, son of the late James and Mary (Blazic) Kursel. Bill graduated from Mt. Jackson (North Beaver Twp.) School where he excelled in basketball and established many dear friendships in his class of "1957". Bill served in the US Army. He was an exceptional finish carpenter, which is evident in the home he built for his wife. He was a past member of the Moravia and Bethel Presbyterian Churches, serving as a trustee. He enjoyed all sports and especially enjoyed fishing and traveling in his motor home.
Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth (Tindall) Kursel, whom he married on April 14, 1961, his brother, Richard Kursel and family, and his brother in law, Dale (Kathy) Tindall in Florida.
A special thanks to all the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses who gave Bill exceptional care at the Hillman Cancer Center and the infusion center at the hospital.
Per Bill's wishes, a private funeral service was held. The burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Terry Cunningham Funeral Home in Bessemer.
