Terry G. Stanley

Terry Glenn Stanley, 87, of Bessemer passed away on Wednesday,  December 10, 2025, at his home. He was born in Bessemer on July 20, 1938, son of Glenn and Twyla Groce Stanley. He married Beverly Book Stanley on March 11, 1962. They were married 57 year before her passing in 2019. 

Terry was a Bessemer High School graduate. He went on to join the Army National Reserves and became a Carpenters Apprentice in 1967. Terry was a member of Local Union 171 of Youngstown and worked as a carpenter for 59 years. After retirement, Terry taught carpentry and used his skills to help family and friends. 

Terry was a member of the First Covenant Church in Bessemer, he enjoyed trips with Beverly, hunting with his boys, his many dogs, and especially his family. 

He is survived by three sons, Todd (Karen) Stanley of Bessemer, Thadd Stanley of Mahoning Township, and Troy (Kathy) Stanley of  New Middletown, and Sister-in-law Beverly Stanley of Gainesville, Florida. He also leaves behind brother-in-law Stanley Germanski and sister-in-law Brenda Germanski of Bessemer; six grandchildren Heather(Jacob) Stanley of Bessemer, Brandon(Emily) Stanley of Cincinnati, OH, Paige( Matt) Lorello of Poland, OH, Jonathan(Brenna) Kline of Hillsville, Tanner Stanley of Bessemer, and Kassie(Frank) Innocenzi  of Bessemer; Three great grandchildren, Greyson, Nolan, and Raiden. 

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his wife. 

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Terry Cunningham Funeral Home in Bessemer. A service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the First Covenant Church in Bessemer. Terry will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the First Covenant Church as was Terry’s request.
