Samuel P. Kuhn Sr, 65, of New Castle, passed away on April 17, 2026, at Medina Center Rehab and Nursing.
Born on August 11, 1960, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of Norman and Ella (Shiderly) Kuhn. Samuel built a lifelong career doing what he loved—working with his hands. He was a skilled mechanic and auto body technician, starting out in the family owned George Ku bus garage and spending many years with Martins Trucking later. His talent for repairing, rebuilding, and restoring vehicles was matched only by the pride he took in his craft.
On September 18, 1983, he married the love of his life, Dianna, with whom he shared 44 years with.
He was a member of the Bessemer Croatian Club and enjoyed building motorcycles, doing auto body work, and tackling any mechanical project that came his way. His hands were rarely still, and his craftsmanship touched many lives.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Dianna Kuhn; his sons, Steven D. Kuhn, William R. Kuhn (Haydee), Samuel P. Kuhn Jr., and Michael J. Kuhn (Dawn); his sisters, Joann George and Margie Reynolds; and seven grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Along with his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by, his brother Norman E. Kuhn, and his sister-in-law Ethel Kuhn.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St., Bessemer, PA. A service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
