Raymond Olson, 88, of New Castle, PA., passed away suddenly at home on April 12, 2023. Raymond was born on September 8, 1935, in Erie, Pa, the son of the late Gustav and Mabel ( Bloom) Olson. Raymond graduated from New Castle High School in 1954 and attended Youngstown State University. He served in the U. S. Army, 3rd Division in Germany from 1956-1960. Raymond worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube ( Later LTV) as a Tubing Inspector. Raymond enjoyed doing woodworking,  jigsaw puzzles, and Sudoku.
Raymond is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Judy (Carlon) Olson, whom he married in 1960, and together raised their children.  He is also survived by his daughter, Ann Olson, of Dubois, PA., his sister, Alice Olson DeLorenzo, of Orlando, Florida, a brother, Ron  Olson, of Beaver Falls, PA., his grandchildren, Kelsey, Hannah, Joe, Sophie, and a great-grandchild, Rory, all of Dubois, PA., and his dog, Riley.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Olson, two brothers, Carl and Paul Olson, and his sister, Tyra Olson Kolak. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 1-3 pm at the Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak Street in Bessemer, PA., followed by a service at 3:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Raymond will be laid to rest in Oak Park Cemetery.
