Matthew R Bohn

Matthew Bohn, 43, of Hillsville, Pennsylvania, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 3, 2025. He was born on January 20, 1982, in Youngstown, Ohio.

He graduated from Mohawk High School in 2000.  He then went on to work at Steelite in New Castle, where he made many good friends, whom he considered family.

He had an incredible love for his daughter (who he affectionately called Turtle), a spiritual passion for music (with bands including Jane's Addiction, Tool, Tame Impala, and more), a deep love for his dogs, Katy and Brody, and a unique way of viewing the world.

He is survived by his daughter, Zoe Jayne Bohn and her partner Connor McPherson; his mother and step father, Kristine Morris and Jeff Kennedy, siblings, Tim Bohn (Nicole Howard), Katie Zieber (Randy), Michael Morris, Amanda Kennedy, and Dala Smith; nieces, Isabella and Phia; nephews Austyn, Dallas and Carter; his best friend and mother of his child, Sara Bowser (Ducky), and maternal grandfather Tom Meenachan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rudy Bohn and Mary Jayne Meenachan.

Matt will be missed deeply by family and friends, but he will always be with us.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm at Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St., Bessemer, PA 16112. A Celebration of life will take place at 3:00 following visitation at the funeral home.

Following the service, a dinner will be held at the Johnson Club in Hillsville, PA., from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

In place of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the Animal Shelter.
