Marilynn Sue Snyder, 84 of New Middletown, Ohio passed away peacefully in the presence of her Savior on
March 12, 2024. Marilynn was born on May 5, 1939, the daughter of the late Floyd C. Henry and Eleanor Fisher Henry. She married the love of her life, Galen R. Snyder, on July 20, 1956. They took many different trips together during their married life. Marilynn loved going to garage sales in the summertime and finding all the good deals.
Marilynn's greatest love was her family. She had a special love for her 5 children, 19 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Marilynn was preceded in death by the love of her life,Galen, on July 15, 2019. After his passing, she attended the Lake Milton Baptist Temple with her daughter and grandchildren, where she soon made many friends. She became very close with Hope Griffis and loved to sing specials with her. She was a former member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren in New Middletown, Ohio. Marilynn is survived by her children, Kim (David) Houser of Peru, Indiana; Barry (Cathy) Snyder of Poland, Ohio; Sheri (Keith) Chapman of Petersburg, Ohio; Christy (Matthew) Beil of New Middletown, Ohio; and Mary Kay Goff of New Middletown, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister Emilie(Paul) Dewell of Columbiana, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents and also her two brothers Brad and Danny Henry.
Visitation will be from 10 am-11 am with a funeral service starting at 11 am at the Lake Milton Baptist Temple, 415 S. Pricetown Rd. Diamond, Ohio, on Monday, March 18, 2024. Graveside services will follow at the Zion Cemetery in New Middletown, Ohio.
