Margaret Schaelchlin Obituary

With a grieving heart, we must say (a temporary) goodbye to a woman in whom the Lord was well pleased. Margie Schaelchlin lived 84 years of which she walked this earth, most of which were with the Lord and her husband, Pete. They enjoyed 66 years of faithful and loyal matrimony together. She was a woman who desired and achieved intimacy with her loving Father (God) and Savior, Jesus Christ. She fulfilled her vows and honored her husband to the fullest. Margie leaves behind her husband, Pete, six children, Barbara, Beth, Susan, David, Jonathan, and Joy, her 26 grandchildren, and her 12 great-grandchildren (current count). The love Margie had for her children was first and foremost and her adoration for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was second to none. Her sole heart’s desire was to see all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, know and serve the Lord. Margie would always bring them up in conversation, always thinking of them, and always lifting them up in prayer. She snap-chatted them, texted them, wrote them, sent cards, made phone calls, inquiring, and simply being involved in their lives. Those are certainly footsteps we all shall emulate. Margie was a remarkable woman and certainly left her mark on this life. She will be missed, cherished, and deeply loved by those who knew her.

Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of her life. And thank you to everyone for your kind words, calls, messages, and prayers, and for allowing us to grieve during this time.
