Heaven's gate opened for Loretta Marangoni Park, 84 of New Castle. She died on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 4:21 am. She was born on August 23, 1937, in Bessemer, daughter of the late August and Mary (Magnone) Marangoni. Loretta graduated from the former Bessemer High School. She started her career at the New Castle Grocery Company, then worked over 40 years at the GNC Federal Credit Union from where she retired. She was a long-standing member of the First Assembly of God Church in New Castle. "Loretta Loved her Jesus"
Although Loretta had no children of her own, her nieces and nephews and a "Lot of Little Great-nieces and nephews" dearly loved her. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Marangoni, and two sisters, JoAnn Shiderly, and Shirley Sofia.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Park who was the love of her life.
Calling hours will be on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm at the Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak Street in Bessemer, followed by a service at 5:30 pm. Burial will take place in Bessemer Cemetery.
