In Loving Memory of Larry Herbolich
Bessemer, PA
Larry Herbolich, 82, a lifelong resident of Bessemer, PA, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025. Born and raised in Bessemer, Larry was a proud and active member of his community — a familiar and beloved face whose presence was woven into the very fabric of the town and its people.
A skilled machinist who worked for many years at Strohecker Inc. in East Palestine, Larry was known for his precision and craftsmanship. He attended Youngstown State University, was a gifted woodworker, an accomplished button box accordionist, and played clarinet in high school. A lover of Slovenian music, Larry could often be found at SNPJ and other Slavic music venues, taking part in lively accordion jam sessions and sharing his joy for the music with others.
He was a proud member of the Bessemer Croatian Club, and SNPJ, reflecting his heritage and passions. May his music and memory live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Larry is survived by his nephews, William Horvath, and Robert Horvath and son Robert Horvath; niece Leslie Horvath Visnic and her husband James Visnic and daughter Adrienne Visnic; and nephew Edward Horvath and his wife Sara Horvath and son Nicholas Horvath.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nick Herbolich, his mother Katie Herbolich; his sister Esther Herbolich Horvath, and her husband Leonard Horvath.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Larry’s life on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 11 am to 1 pm at Terry Cunningham Funeral Home in Bessemer, PA. A blessing will be held at 1 pm following visitation at the funeral home.
