Kenneth Smith, age 79, of Bessemer, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 9, 2026. A dedicated family man and skilled tradesman, Kenneth will be remembered for his work ethic and his devotion to his loved ones.
Born October 3, 1946, in New Castle, PA, to the late George and Rebecca (Corbin) Smith, Kenneth spent his career as a skilled Electrician. He lent his talents to several local mainstays, including Falcon Foundry in Lowellville, North Star Steel in Youngstown, and Carbon Limestone in Carbon, PA.
Outside of work, Kenneth was an active member of the Johnson Club and the Croatian Club. He had a passion for classic cars and could often be found at local car shows. An avid sports fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates.
On March 20, 1970, Kenneth married the love of his life, Georgina Diana, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. While he took pride in his work and hobbies, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Georgina Smith; son, Kevin Smith (Debbie); daughter, Kimberly Butz (Kelly); sisters, Sharon Samsa and Linda Billyk (Franklin); grandchildren, Drake Butz, Ari Butz, and Ryan Smith.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Don Smith.
