Donald W. Keeley, Jr.

Donald W. Keeley, Jr., age 71 of New Castle, died on July 9, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital surrounded by his family.He was born on January 1, 1954, in New Castle, son of the late Donald W. Keeley, Sr., and Marjory Phillips Nye, and his stepfather, Thomas Nye, who helped raise him. Donald served in the US Navy. He worked at Universal Rundle Corp. and retired from the Maintenance Department at Slippery Rock University. Donald was a member of Bethel Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Donald liked collecting Lionel trains, Coast flashlights, and various types of watches. He enjoyed going on train excursions, listening to music, fishing, and loved Handel's Ice Cream. Donald volunteered for Reach Work Camps, a national youth ministry. He also volunteered with relief efforts during Hurricane Katrina. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Donald is survived by his wife, Deborah (Flick) Keeley, whom he married on October 6, 1979, his children, Donald W. (Kristi) Keeley, III, and Jessica (Andrew) Mikucki, his brother, Allen "Doc" (Brenda) Keeley, his sister, Tawnya (Jamie) Curatola, a brother in law, Robert (Donna) Flick, sister in laws, Diana Keeley, Jeri Flick, and Eileen Flick, two grandchildren, William and Luke Keeley, and several nieces. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a daughter, Dala, his twin brother, Doran, his brother-in-law, Lane Flick, and Randy Flick, and nephew Caleb Flick. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Bethel Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 154 Petersburg Road in Enon Valley, PA., followed by a Memorial Service starting at  4:00 pm. In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Bethel Mission Fund at the church. 

Arrangements are by the Terry Cunningham Funeral Home in Bessemer.
