David F. Rishel

David Rishel, 88, of Youngstown passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024, at the Hospice House in Poland.  He was born on October 6, 1935, to Mildred Rishel in Pittsburgh, PA.

David worked as a Pipe Fitter for Republic Steel. He was of the Catholic faith and attended St. James Roman Catholic Church before its closing.

David's favorite pastime was spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and gardening.

David is survived by his daughters, Sherry (David) Costal, and Karen (Gary) Dunlap, son, David Rishel, (Robert Marlin), sister-in-law, Loretta Rishel, 4 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, with a fourth one on the way and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Deloris (Strano) Rishel, whom he married on October 30, 1954, his mother, and eight siblings.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, Bessemer, PA. A funeral service will occur immediately following calling hours at the funeral home. David will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney, PA.
