Darwyn E. Haylett

Darwyn E. Haylett age 84, of New Castle died on March 9, 2025 at the Avalon Nursing Center.

Darwyn was born on June 30, 1940 in Grove City, PA., son of the late David H. and Geraldine L. (Kline) Haylett. Darwyn worked as a Manager in the Computer Programming Department for the Computer Science Corporation. Darwyn married his wife, Linda Ann (Fitzgerald) Haylett on August 16, 1958; she died on January 21, 2023. He was a superb gardener; he had beautiful vegetable gardens and flowerbeds. He was also fond of antique cars.

Darwyn is survived by his daughter, Faye Haylett, two sons, Ken (Yulia) Haylett and Barry Haylett, two brothers, Bud (Ruby) Haylett, and Larry (Randy) Haylett, a sister, Patty (Calvin) Clarke, and his five grandchildren, Sarah, Greg, Ben, Natalie, and Alex.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three brothers, Dave, John and Richard.

A private service was held for the family at the Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, in Bessemer, PA.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on June 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 154 Petersburg Rd., in Enon Valley, Pennsylvania. Visitation will be held at 12: 30 p.m. at the church. A lunch will follow the service.

Darwyn was laid to rest next to his wife in Bethel Cemetery.
