Bonnie Lou Ernst, 78, of Enon Valley, Pennsylvania passed on August 4, 2024, at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center. She was born on July 19, 1946, to Harlen and Mary (Brothers) Johnston in Canton, Ohio. She was a graduate of Carrollton High School and Gerber Beauty School in Canton.
She was a member of Westfield Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and sang in the choir. Bonnie enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, crafting, music, and cooking.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Evan Ernst, whom she married on May 21, 1966, her mother, Mary Johnston, daughters, Kristy (James) Bailey, and Kerri (Grant) McKinley, son, Darin (Jennifer) Ernst, brother, Larry (Charlotte) Johnston, sisters, Margie (Don) Rowe, and JoAnn (Ron) Dennis, grandchildren, Hannah McKinley, Paxtyn Lyons, Mason McKinley, Parker Lyons, Ava Ernst, Carter Ernst, and great grand-children, Jaxson, Leona, and Lincoln.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at Westfield Presbyterian Church, 1363 Mt. Jackson Rd., New Castle, PA, 16102. A funeral service will follow at 6 pm.
A private burial will take place in the Westfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westfield Building fund in memory of Bonnie.
