Anna Marie McMillin Byers Fox of North Beaver Township passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown, OH.

Born December 20, 1928, a twin, in New Castle, Ann was 96 ½ years old.  She was the daughter of William and Marie (McKim) McMillin. Raised in Chewton with her five siblings, she was the last surviving of the family.  Ann graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to Geneva College, grduating in 1948.  Ann began her elementary teaching career in Wampum, moved on to the New Castle system, and then completed her career at Mohawk.

Anna enjoyed golfing, knitting, especially infant sweaters, sewing, traveling, and of course, reading. She was fond of saying she had seen every continent except Antarctica. Anna was married to S. George Byers Jr. on June 17, 1954, until his death on January 19, 1986.  They had two children, Lee Ann (Rick) Martin and Edward George (Carol) Byers.  Anna married Donald Fox on February 14, 1998.  Together, they enjoyed traveling and raising and showing miniature horses until Don passed on April 22, 2021.

Anna is survived by her children Lee Ann (Rick) Martin, Edward George (Carol) Byers, and stepson John Fox.  Three grandchildren, Sara (Jake) Frederick, James (Ayla) Byers, and Daniel (Kayla) Byers, a step-granddaughter, Kelli (Chris) Fox, and step step-grandson, Wesley (Amy) Hausmann.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Audrey Kay Byers, Georgia Rae Frederick, Eva Charlotte Byers, Stella Faye Frederick, Colt Cameron Frederick, Jack Edward Byers, and Beau Byers Frederick, and 3 step great grandchildren, Wrath, Archer, and Neva Hausmann.

In addition to her parents, siblings, and husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant son, a nephew, John Norwood Byers, a son-in-law, Wade Hausmann, a stepdaughter, Peggy Fox, and a stepdaughter-in-law, Bonnie Fox.

Anna was a dedicated member of Westfield Presbyterian Church, having served on both the Session and Deacon boards.  She also taught Sunday school and was involved in the Youth Group and VBS.

Visitation will be 10:00 – 12:00 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Westfield Presbyterian Church.  A funeral service will be held at noon, officiated by Rev. Bobbie Griffith.

The burial will be at Graceland Cemetery beside her husband, George, and infant son.
