Amelia Musitano Obituary

Amelia A. Musitano (Millie), 97, of Bessemer, PA, passed away at her residence on September 2, 2024. She was born July 11, 1927 in Carbon PA, daughter of the late John and Zora (Yurkovich) Piskovich.

Millie was a 1946 graduate of Lowellville High School and worked at an air conditioning training school in Youngstown.  She was past President of the Mohawk Senior Citizens, and secretary of the American Legion and a member of the Christian Mothers Club, and St. Anthony Church, Bessemer, Christ the King Parish. She was also active with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

She enjoyed her flower garden, dancing and taking care of stray animals, ensuring they received food, water and medical care.

Amelia is survived by; her children, Neal Musitano Jr., and Dolores Musitano, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Amelia was preceded in death by; her husband N. Neal Musitano Sr. whom she married on October 1, 1949, in Lowellville, Ohio. He passed away January 25, 2002, an infant sibling,  two sisters, Mary Miller, and Katherine Tasota,  her brother, Frank Piskovich, and her dear friend, Henry E. Sobona.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 4-6 pm at Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak Street, Bessemer, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown, Ohio.

Burial will take place in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
